Hi guys I made a remake of
DmRoute66
The second version of this map includes:
- new textures
- new weapon- & pickup placement
- a new feature
- a bit more details

Well I checked out the new version and I must say it is very good indeed.

I am really interested in the skybox rotation affect Krull as I have remade several UT conversions that utilize this feature. Ut does it a little differently though. My conversions do rotate in UGold but alas I can't get the function working in 224 or 225. I thought I had it figured out after examining Route66v2 in the editor but it still doesnt seem to work right. ( I did however make the skybox position change)

Oh the map looks even better in the editor in my opinion. I've always liked when people use scaled sprites and assign different textures and skins to the lights. They always seem to bring the map alive even inside unrealed. Any help would be much appreciated on this affect, and again I have to say good job on the map, it's a very good remake and quite professionally made.

The rotation skybox in Route66v2 works in 224 and 225f.
You need to change some properties of the SkyZoneInfo.
Change the physic to phys_rotation, then set the rate in which direction the SkyZoneInfo should rotate.
You also need to change some advanced settings of the SkyZoneInfo.
Turn
bstatic and
bstasis to
false
then the skybox info should rotate.
I wonder why your conversions don't work, they uses the same settings like me.

perhaps UT has a specific actor for rotating sky zones? i wudnt know never used 2.0 ed...

I think it is the same actor. you only need to change four properties of the SkyZoneInfo, that u have a rotation skybox.

I tried everything to get this affect but it still won't work online. I have know clue why it wont work cause Im pretty sure I did everything correct. If you want to take a look at it Krull I uploaded it to oldunreal. Here's a link. It rotates in 224 and 225 but just not online. Route66 does however rotate online.
