I have been working on it almost everyday (My new map). But now have a new project at home.

I have to learn/work on our satallite system next door. I really know nothing about sats, but am learning, God, Thanks for internet. The guy that set it up, was not a good worker, and has left everything a mess. I have ignored it for 2 years now, but it is time to figure it out.

Anyone out there know anything about sat's ? Frank

I configured our system (analog - I was alone) and the digital one from my brother up (with him), without any lnb measure instrument.

I am not a pro Frank, I can only give some tips.

What system do u have?
U know some basics about signal, reciver or LNB?
Have u now a picture on the TV or none?
What diameter have your dish?
Which Sat do you want Eutel / Astra?

SORRY OFFTOPIC!

Hi guys. Thamks for the quick replies.

I moved this from the map post, because I will really need your help.

I just mapped out (no pun intended ;) ) the wireing on the system that the guy left me. By the guy, I mean the guy who sold me the house. He was a tv tech, and actually was suppossed to know what he was doing.

I need a few days to get my basic drawing on something that you can understand, but the thing I need right now, is to know how a vt 7952 splitter (Verteiler/diplexer) works. If it is like anyonther splitter/diplexer, than I understand. I have not been able to find any info in the net about this particular one.

Basically, I have 1 terrestial ant, and 2 sat's. The top sat is a 60 cm, and the bottom is a 90 cm.

The 90 must be the one I am hooked up to right now, and is a receiveing a normal astra signal. The socond one, looks like it is pointing in the same direction, but he told me back then, that he had more channels, so it can not really be in the same elevation, and degrees. But very close.

the 90 cm dish, is coming down into vt 7952 splitter. It splits in 2 directions, at first.
1: goes downstairs to the first apartment, and then goes through another splitter (sorry, I do not have this splitters info, but I do not think it matters much at this moment), then the signal goes to my in-laws TV,(1st floor) and then back upstairs to my daughters TV (2nd floor).
2: goes to a "multiswitch". This is also a bit confusing. (one of the reasons I need to know about the vt 7952) The multiswitch is a Grundig stc 45, and I know/have allot of info on it. There are 2 inputs, that come from the h and v from the sats, and there are 2 outputs.

Here is the catch. The outputs are going into the terestial anttenna's lines, and are being fed through the house.... which I disconected!!!!... but the signal is still going to the TV's in both rooms. ( you really need to see the diagram I have, b-4 you can really understand)

This means that the signal from the sat 90 CM is going through the vt 7952 and straight to the tv's, which will not work, because they are only hooked/seperated by that splitter in my in-laws appartment.

catch 2, I unplugged the multiswitch, and the tv's went their own way. One chanal you could see, and then the next was gone, and so on.....

The signal has to be going through the multiswtch, and back to the vt 7952, and then down to the in-laws splitter.

Thanks for any help you can give me. Frank
