I have worked on the second edition (SE) of this map on/off for a while.
Here's a rundown of the changes + screen shots. :)

I have addressed the following issues:

1. The visuals of the sphere explosion were not always in sync on all clients (someone who came in late to the sphere hall would suddenly see the visuals, but the explosive damage had already ended). Only human players, and their flying corpse can trigger the explosion (bots don't understand the tactical advantage).
2. The pool abuse. The pool is now shallow. You can stand in the pool to heal yourself. No swimming, no drowning, no camping.
3. Lots of gold.
4. Added easy access between floors in Main Hall (use planks). Opened up access in two other locations.
5. Normal teleports. Quick access between Main Hall near Bright Hall, and Sphere Hall (High Entrance).
6. One area has a glass window over it to prevent spamming from above. This window will be reflective in the final release.
7. Many minor, but in my view, effective visual changes. Lots more vivid colours and subtle use of fog.
8. Removed the glow effects around powerups.

Known/remaining issues:

1. Bots: Quite often I find a bot under some planks by a box.
2. Texture: Some discolouring on the top texture in the bright hall jump pad.
3. Spread more ammo and player starts.
4. Add hiding spot.
5. Complete new, minor hall.

Happy Valenthaw's day :o

I want to know if a FREON edition of this map would be in order.

The freon edition would be renamed DM-FREON-AnataWa-SE and incorporate the following changes:

1:2) The ion core explosion would be disabled.

2:2) The healing pool would be turned into liquid gold (moderate damage, and shallow enough so you can walk/run in it, but not swim/drown).

What say you? :)
