While watching Avatar I had to think about a cartoonmovie I watched when I was little called FernGully (1992). The basic story was the same. Big rain forrest where elves life. Humans come and want to cut down the rainforrest for wood. One human gets together with one elvish chick. He sees how wonderful the rainforrest can be and helps saving it eventually

lol, that movie was pretty good (when i was very young =D)
