UT99: Recommend me coop. maps (+mut.) for small size server

Hi TCP members,

Here is more or less a copy of something I asked on the Titan forums:
http://ut2004.titaninternet.co.uk/forum ... post319265
but since I know there are several people here who play online since the first Unreal, I thought it would be a good place to ask too.

On another forum, the idea of playing online together has been floating around among members and recently a member decided to set up a UT99 server.

Yesterday, we did the our first test run and things went pretty well for most players.
Two players had some weird issues, but there is a good chance this is because they have the hi-res textures installed.

Anyway, right now the server runs the stock maps/mutators. Therefore, I wanted to know if some people here who play/have played UT99, have some recommendations regarding maps or mutators for such a server.

This is a small-size server (max. number of players would probably something like 8 and actually I think it is the current limit although since this is only a one-month trial it could be expanded later.)
Yesterday most of the time there were between 4 to 6 players.

People seemed to enjoy coop (CTF) quite a lot, when played on small maps (Face and another I don't remember).
Players are a bit of a mix of some having experience with online gaming, some not much and some having experience with UT99 and some not much. Besides it is a "play for fun" oriented server.
Therefore, if it was a UT2004 server, things like setting up some Trials maps would probably bore most players (hope you get the idea).

I have little experience with UT99, outside of the stock maps and having tried out of curiosity the Onslaught for UT99 mod (and a CTF4 one I think too):
http://www.moddb.com/mods/onslaught-ut
and some of Wormbo's mutators:

So any suggestion is welcome :D .

Perhaps Wolf's UTeamFix will be a nice addition (i believe he also made it for UT)
Has some different gamemodes in there (MonsterMash) as well and a lot of other usefull things

As for maps .. errr i would have to do some digging in me memory :o

Take your time anyway, it is just a server for gaming with friends from time to time so it can live on the stock maps for a while.

If you happen to only have some CD with archives of the maps and don't remember exactly how good/for how much players there are, simply print the directory content (or screenshot it). I will then try to find them online and then sieve through them by giving a quick try to each.

Additionally, if you happen to know some places where my request for suggestions would be likely to receive more suggestions (a currently active UT community/clan?, supposing a "play for fun" mentality kind of clan), feel free to send me there.

Keep in mind, though, that by using it you will be playing Unreal One style then :-) Also some anti cheats don't like it... UT weapons are supported but it's not entirely bugfree.

Noted. Right now people seem to enjoy the basic game with the stock maps (some are still discovering the game), so things that would change the gameplay too much will wait until later.

I guess I'll hunt the net a bit to try and find map packs and give each map a quick try to see if they fit 6-8 players gameplay.
