Did you take a look at the 3DBuzz web site?
Log in, choose Unreal Tech and you'll find a getting started type of video tutorial for making terrains.

http://www.3dbuzz.com/

These people earn a living by teaching people. I think the same people who wrote the book Mastering Unreal Technology are the ones explaining these topics in these videos.

hehehe ^^ thanks *Wiggle*
it still has a couple of bad edges and stuff ( kile i can look trough a small crack in one of the walls XS ) but i'm prett happy with the outcome so far.
Frank told me once that it might be good to think of a theme before starting to build. *Wiggle* i must confess that it makes things a little more interresting. at some parts i realy needed to think how to solve some stuff (still do) and since i already know what it should sort of look like its allot easier to focus on what i need to learn from the editer.

and Rejecht,
thanks for the link, didnt know the site yet but looks very promising *Wiggle* i will probebly start folowing the tutorial this weekend so if all goes well there will be new pictures XD *Wiggle* the time for the first beta release is still unknown :P

ps. good morning Frank ^^

:D THX

I will send you a PM in a minute. I thought I told you about the 3D Buzz site. That is where I learned allot about editing in UT2K4. They have changed the site, and I do not visit there much anymore, but I am sure that there are still the videos on it. If not, I think I still have them on a CD somewhere.

Yes, Buzz and his class did write the book Mastering Unreal Technology. I always wanted to get it, but the price was always too high for me. I think it is about 20 Euros now. Not a bad price for all of that info.

One more thing, the "outside", should have been planed in, in the beginning, but I have a way around that. ;)

Now to the PM. Frank
