ok look peepz...

I own a real classic ipod 80 g...
everything went good and i was so happy with my music, videos, and stuff...pliplaplu...
suddenly 3 days ago...
I wanna get new music on my ipod...so I open itunes as always...connect the ipod to the pc as always...and I was waiting until the synchronisation-stuff finishes...
but then there came an "exception processing message"

a little error exactly called:

WRONG VOLUME???!!!
"exception processing message c0000012 parameters 7c7df5f8 7c7df5f8 cead9118 7c7df5f8"

There were three tasks i could do...
CANCEL REPEAT FURTHER (WEITER?! dunno what it is in english)

I can do repeat as often as i want....nothing changes... if i do further or cancel... the ipod stopps synchronisizing....hmpf

i already restarted my ipod and reinstalled itunes but nothing did help...
the problem is that in the middle of the synchronisation the ipod stopps getting the files on it and the whole pc is frozen... BAH! the only thing that i can do in such a situation is to disconnect my ipod....and listen too good old classic hits...bah..

P.S.(I already googled it...but i couldnt find a solution...)

maybe u can help me

:?

Hi Muh!

Sorry, I never had an iPod, so I can't help you here. :-( However, what you called "Further" would be "Proceed" in English, I think.

I think you usually you get cancel, retry or ignore as the 3 optons in English when a glitch is encountered (not necessarily in that order btw  ), so ignore would be the option to ignore the problem and proceed past it (if that is possible). I think

I don't have an ipod. From the "Wrong Volume" bit of the message my guess would that either the ipod does not have enough room to accept the files or that the connecting wire is faulty or not properly connected.

Another possibility might be that the ipod battery does not have enough power to complete the transfer (I had a similar error tranferring photos from my camera ... solved by putting a recharged battery in the camera  ).

The only other possibility that occurs to me might be something to do with copy protection, either on the ipod itself or on one of the tracks that you are transferring (read only) ...

Those are the sort of ideas that would occur if it happened to me ... but I am no techy and I've never had an ipod thingy so I am probably wrong

Or what about a new driver? Have you updated recently, and maybe not finish totally? I just had the same problem with my HP printer. It would go 1/2 way through and I would get the same type of maessage. I inserted my disk for the printer, and it had the chance to finish the update.

But with the "wrong volumn" message, it sounds a bit more complex. Good luck with it. :)
