I may have found a new host for the Onslaught server that can provide us with a 32 player server and to top it off it will be even cheaper then it is now for the 20 man server.

But before i decide i would like u lot to try it out and lemme know if it is any good for u .

I have tested it myself and it seems the same (slightly lower ping for me) as the one we have now.

Here's the name and ip : 85.17.209.15 Penguin Surprise :: Hosted by MaverickServers.com.
Or use this linkie and the game will start and connect right away :

Let me know how it does

Cheers

I specced for 10 mins just now, the server had over 10 players per side .... a packet loss of 2 very briefly at the start then stable, ping was slightly higher at 56 .... seemed pretty good, I will check again tonight to see if the ping is lower then (56 is probably Virgin's fault :P ).

Edit: specced again .... 56 ping, no packet loss or unordered packets :), 22 players. 56 is fine with me.

Hi Carnage!

Great find, really! Works excellent for me. Their net seems to be just one hop from my ISP's net. :-) When pinging it from the command prompt, I get a ping of 16!

I also played for 10-15 minutes and it works very well. We were 28 players and the current map was Torlan. From my view,in case the uptime is ok, this would be a great server!

Btw., why is there already a server running and people playing there? Is it another server in the same net?

Coco.

On Torlan with ~26 players, ping ~60, no packet loss. Note: this game is unplayable without WebAdmin and ONSPlus. -.-

Well this is just the promo server the guys have put up
Look at it as an advertising server to get some customers to the host

If i do rent a server there obviously it will be exactly the same as the ONS is now .. with mods /muts and all
This now is just a vanilla server with no goodies extra's

Got here late. I just tried to start it, the server was in there, but had no ping. Sooooo, I am guessing it is either offline atm, or someone is working on it? Hope to see it later.

Hi

Played on it quite i few times now

Seems to run great, and that was with 32 players i observed no problems at all

My ping seems to be much lower than on the current onslaught server, down from 80ish to around 40. Now that has to be good :D

BTW what does it cost you to rent such a server?
Do you pay for it with your hard earned cash?

Just curious

That is all good news :)

And the current ONS server costs 44,75 per month Zep
And the new one will (could be) 40 a month but then for 32 players :)

And yes i do pay for em .. but i do get the additional donation form people every now and again :)

Good job, boss. I tried it out and even with the full server, no PL and had a ping of 96, normal is around 60 for me. It ran good, but only played Torlan. Could be different on the other maps.

Hi!

Didn't want to open a new thread for this. I noticed that there's ONS-TempestadeB5 installed on the new 32 players server. I thought, the latest version was ONS-Tempestade, which I considered to be the final version. Is it a mistake or was it intentionally done?

Coco.

This was done intentionaly
The last version has massive holes in it where vehicles disapear in

The version B5 did not have this problem .. at least certainly not so noticable
