Internet Explorer cannot be uninstalled by any craft that we here possess. The software was made in the labs of Microsoft. Only they have the power to uninstall. It must be taken deep into the DLL hell and cast back into the fiery chasm from whence it came. One of you must do this.

But you does not simply walk into Microsoft's lab. It's Black Gates are gaurded by more than just missing DLL's. There is evil there that does not sleep, and Windows Genuine Advantage is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland riddled with exploits, spyware, and worms, the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume. Not with ten thousand newbies could you do this. It is folley.

You still need IE for some sites which Firefox doesnt display/work with properly (for example the search page of the library of Hannover -__-)

OK. Uninstalling IE!
Go to Control panel,then click on Add/remove programs.
In Add/remove you see alist on the left handside saying.....
Change or remove Programs and Add New Programs and Add/remove Windows Components and Set Program Access and defaults.
Click on the Add/remove Windows Components.
A new window will open with all the windows progs listed with little ticks
in boxes next to them.{not all of them are ticked}
Internet Explorer should be in the list with a tick next to it.
You need to UNTICK that little box and then click on next,this should then uninstall IE.
Becareful that none of your other programs on your pc are linked to IE,this may cause them not to run.
