Problems in XP
Hey peepz,
I got a big problem.
I wana create a new user on my Computer but its not working.
I have Windows XP Prof + SP2.
Well, I create a user. Than the user apears at the start up. I can click on him and than a message apears, that there are some network problems and I should contact the admin. I checked the folder C.\Documents and Settings\ and there is nothing created. There is just All Users, Administration, Chris(me)... not the new user i created?!?!
Plz help. I checked the windows side and several other sides but I didnt find something usefull...
Thx

Hi!
Well, to me this sounds like the new user was created for an external authentication server, such as a RADUIS server, or with its complete homedir mounted on an other network PC.
I don't know how to configure Windows to do this, but maybe you made it accidentially. The fact that you can't find a homedir for the new user and that Windows tries to access the LAN when trying to log in seems to point in that direction. Maybe, you should have a look which network services you have installed.
Coco.
