Good job (like the swimming pool and the secret behind the waterfall

) however:
You should use trims in places where the texture comes to an edge of a surface. Look at the first and the second picture - if you don't use a trim the texture looks unnatural and cutted more info:
http://phalanx.planetunreal.gamespy.com ... al_tex.htm
The architecture could be better in some places. Look at the third picture. The walls are empty, it's boring to watch them, there's nothing that breaks the monotony. Some pillars could be useful. Now look at the ceiling - there is a lamp and a ceiling trim, but they don't have anything to do with each other - they're not connected, the architecture doesn't flow. More info:
http://phalanx.planetunreal.gamespy.com ... al_geo.htm
And try to do not use the white lightning... It looks very washed, boring, repetitive.

Thanks Mel, for the fast reply. I also noticed the boring walls, and will keep working on them. In the "stone" sections, there are not that many blank walls, but in the swimming pool, there are too many.
I played with the lights allot. I even had it done once and did not like it, so I went back through and erased them all (that was work, man) and redid them. I tried to make it as dark as possible, and put in some color, but those walls are hard to put color on. I will go through it again, and see what I can do. White is not nice, I know.
The last comment on the arcitecture was eye opening. I never even thought to get the lights "connected" to something. I will fix these rooms first.
Did you get to play it? How did it play, and try useing bots. They really use the map good, but I noticed they do not go in certain areas of the map, and neither did I. Hmmm
Thanks for giveing me a direction to go in.
@ MBB, yes please do. The more help I get here, the better.

Yeah, the texture for me was also YUK!!! I wanted to use the texture to just make the map, and later make my own, some how I got stuck with it. I think I may go to some type of metal, city style, maybe like going from a building into a Y.M.C.A. Thank you, foor telling me this. I was kinda sure it is a overused texture.
With a name like "Ramses" of coarse you would feel comfortable here, but Kobra is right. I tried to cover up the walls as much as possible, but they still stick out like a sore thumb.

Ok I have played it a little with bot. I think it can be quite good for TAM or TDM. Layout isn't bad, but there few that I don;t like, but they are acceptable. First is too much layout variety. On lower floor it looks like some modern pool house, but on upper ones it is soem Egyptian temple and for me its a bit strange. Other things are the same as Mele said. Some of places are too empty.
I have also found one bug with lift what u cann se thorugh the ceiling.
Here's screen:
All in all: Map isn;t bad and not very good. Just a piece of quite good gameplay map, but u need some fixes on further betas.
My current rating is 5/10.

Thanks MBB for the further output. I will definatly keep upgradeing it, and when I find a better texture, and put some more deco in, I will post it back here. Thanks again.
Oh, BTW, the lift was meant to be like that, I should change the bottom of it though.

Hmm don;t u think that this looks like a bug? Even if u wanted it? Its very annoying in my opinion.

Yes, I am going to change it. Actually, all of these things that everyone picked out (except for the lights and the geometry, thanks Mel) I knew already. It is just that when a project gets so far, and so many hours are spent on it, the designer (me

) needs a bit of input on how things are looking. That is what was done with this and I thank you all. Now I need to get it right, and the first thing is to change that stupid texture. I wanted to make my own last night, and have an idea for it, but was/am too tired ( I was at Krabbels new house again tonight) to get one made.
I have noted all the comments and I will get them changed, and will post again when it is done. Thank you all.

OK!! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. I am done (for now) with this one. Sorry for the textures, Kobra and the rest, but I like it as-is. I broke my head trying to get the right textures in there, but all I see is... well what is there. I did, however, change the pool room a bit. Well it is now uploaded to the FTP server, and if Mr. Carnage would be so kind as to download it and upload it to the server, I could get more feed back from you great soldiers of UNREAL.
@ Carnage: I have posted it useing the sticky in this post. My PW does not seem to work anymore. I added my own file called "Frank". Thank you, as always, in advance.

Tranq, Thanks for the reply. I am not sure what you mean with the glass floor. It should not be touching the walls. I am on my laptop right now, but will go down on my computer and check this out.
I have not updated the link on this page, yet. I will also do that in a few minutes.
I also did not like the texture change from here to the pool. I am still not 100% satisfied. But I figured it is time to get this out, before we all leave unreal for unreal 2007
