We have rented a new commercial server. The server will hold 12 slots, comparable to our current TAM server. It will be hosted by the same provider as our current ONS and TAM servers. The server will be online later this week, and the question is:

What kind of game will we run on it?

I think we should run TDM server as a little change. We have 3 TAM servers so 1 TDM could be nice too.

How can you make me choose between tam and tdm..can't you make it Tam and TDM in one?..

I would also go with TAM/TDM or perhaps even TAM/TDM and freeze

Brilliant. Yeah.. that would work, just put in loads of options to pick from.. you could as well add CTF for instance

but I do want to have TDM. Let's not forget the way we use to play before UT2004..with good old pickups :O

Well I can live with both but I just wanted to see what kind of game the rest of you would like to play. Of course there's always the possibility of letting the visitors choose but for now, let democracy work

a good idea would be to make the server private sometimes and run ictf that would be brilliant and alot of fun. this would be beneficial for all the clan members imo

couldnt you make the server capture the flag or something?
you already have too many tam servers

Good idea with that CTF. Hmm maybe instead all this ZZCat should host CTF server? Last days decent CTF servers are empty :/.

Thats not really a good advert for hosting a CTF server

TCP clan has great servers but it only has some gametypes
i think that if you give the people lots to choose from they will eventually like it and play more on your servers

Then I take that back, CTF. We have..a Freon(barely used), TAM\Freon and a 1 on 1 server.. I don't see the point..of getting another server with the same gametypes. Unless if we have some sort of private server where only TCPs have access to it, make it TDM.. It's the best option :O

We could add every map known from the U1 world and add em, just like the old days
You can skip maps that are randomly played..a hundred times over, Rankin for instance.
UCMP mappacks would be a great addition to our new server :p

ye that would be kool our own private server were we can max out the fun and have a good laugh and retro it up with old skool maps im always up for that

Well I can see a private server when it's used on training nights but during the week? Ik like the idea of having an old school tdm server with unreal 1 maps
