ONS-MBB-Weapon Outpost

I finnaly done it. My biggest project, after few months. Big thanks for DAFrank for help with terrain problem and Meledictum for many useful hints and betatesting my map :). Map doesn't have pathnodes for bots, anyway so lets call it first version of map.

Hi Marcin!

Cool... same question here: Is it on the server already? I'd love to give it a try!

BTW: I really like to play MBB-StorageFacility! Good map in my opinion, lots of fun!

You should really keep on making maps. :-)

Thx. To your question: Well I don't know yet. Anyway i should release also another version of this map with pathnodes and fixed bugs like little messed jump spots.

I did ... but a few things i would like to point out in order to make it go a little smoother ..

First off please make sure u add all the files in the zip / rar file .. i had to go hunting for the jumpship objects and the jumpshittextures files .

Second make sure u add NO spaces in the mapname like u did now
Now i renamed it to "ONS-MBB-Weapon_Outpost"

But after fixing all of these annoying little problems it is now on the server

Hi!

I played MBB-WeaponOutpost yesterday when the server error occured. As far as I can say, it's really nice, but you definitely need a few players because of the two paths from core to core and the big distances. Don't get me wrong, I love big maps with long distances. It's only because the bots sadly don't function at all in this map. I was playing alone, just with bots, against Wargirl and Splatter and there was no way to win, because no matter what side I took, the other side was lost.

Now, I wanted to take a closer look at the map here at home and got a little confused with the files. I downloaded the map from the link, provided in Marcins first post in this thread, and also the missing file. When I opened the downloads, I noticed that the missing file is in the original download already. So I guess, the original archive has been updated inbetween.

To be sure what files are needed, I loaded my UT2004CacheExtractor to see what files were sent by the server for playing. The interesting thing about this is that the missing file, JumpShipObjects.usx, wasn't sent at all! As it seems, this file is just needed on the server side but is not being redirected to the players.

I experienced something like this only one time before in the map ONS-ScorpionCanyon (a great map which should be added to the server btw, as well as ONS-AlenjaForest - if you want them Carnage, I can upload them to you, no problem!). There was also a file, Gorzscorps.utx, that was not redirected to player, but needed to run the map on the server.

Does anyone know how this can happen?

Coco thx for your opinion. To take in one your comments and guys from Titan I can start making V2 of Weapon Outpost. Things I want to fix/add:
turn on fog (now its truned off by accident)
botpaths
more vehicles
more hills and some static meshes to make a better cover
fix some bugs like floating things
upgrade weapon lockers
