Good news peeps :-)

Few hours ago i got a phone call from Hospital in Linz, and they said to me that the marrow looks nice!
They ll make next marrow reserch on 21th June 2010.

So the therapy with Sprycel ll continue.

All in all was that very close, i know its unavoidable (bone marrow transplant), but i need my time for it above all mental (free brain).

Phew!

Yes, that is good to hear Marwin :D

BTW We cross our fingers in the UK for the same effect Coco, so I will cross my fingers and press my thumbs at the same time to ensure things continue well :) ... and it won't affect my performance in game any if recent games are anything to go by

Hehe, yes I know. I was thinking about what to write, but since Marwin's native language is German as well, I picked the German expression. ;)

As for the performance thing: I hope so. Guess we'll know it soon. ;)

I will not pretend i understand all of it but basicly it should block the cells from growing out of controll right ?

Right.

The tumor cells produce so fast and so much as they can white blood cells. This white cells are undifferentiated like kids in real life. This undifferentiated white cells called blasts. As fewer u have as better it is.

Not the blasts get blocked the bone marrow stem cell itself, so it can produce nothing. The good thing is this medics block only the tumor cells, but let the normal ones alive. The bad thing is, u can never get a full recovery, cause the tumor cells can reproduce themselfs.

Aren't they doing some research on using virii against tumors? Maybe volunteer as the first human test subject. I've read an article on heise that rats with cancer/tumors could be healed 100% without side effects but no tests on humans were possible so far. Also I am not certain it can be used on any type of tumor.

EDIT:
here's the article

sorry for the non-germans....
