Oh, well the deeper you get the greater the pressure and if the fat man swims far enough down he will get to be the size of a pea ... sounds like more fun than slimming or exercise to me

Indeed. When you have the NTFS file system with Windows 2000 or newer, you can enable NTFS file compression to make files smaller. Cache files are ideal for NTFS compression because they are not compressed yet, they are never changed and can be compressed quite well. Decompression happens instantly when the file is requested by Unreal.

Ok, reached the next target :p
Thanks to the high productivity of the entire Unreal Community I can announce that the GigaCache has reached a new milestone of 10 000 files.
Some statistics: Total cache size: 12.5 GB
Smallest file: 532 bytes
Largest file: 37.8 MB
Oldest file: October 08, 2000
Newest file: Somewhere in 2010 (wrong date)

With special thanks to:
- The Unreal community who made all these files
- All server owners who made cache packages
- OldSparky and the [DOG] clan with their huge cache pack
