I woudl like to fight as my Barbanian from Diablo2 on 25 lvl . He is walking through the battlefield like a tank and I just need to kill Diablo, but I need to raise my level up a bit .

Ok, I'm bringing up this old thread from last year, because I'm in Mythodea again this year. In case you have no idea what I'm talking about, simply see the first post in this thread.

So I'm away from tomorrow early (Wednesday) until Sunday evening (will probably play the Freon madness then).

Thanks guys, it was good fun and both of our characters survived. This year, the purpose of the players was to take an Undead fortress to stop the the Undeads' unholy influence on the land. But in the end, we didn't succeed, because too many quests to achieve this remained unsolved. The Undead warlord, however, reveling in his glory, gave us one day to leave "his" land and this is what all of the 4000 characters did to save their lifes.

I guess the Conquest will open a new chapter next year where we will have a chance to undo our failure and save the land.

I will see if I can find some new photos of this year's event, so you get an impression of what I experienced this weekend.

how do mages "shoot?" magic spells?
do they go around with cotton balls wrapped in shiny paper and throw them after doing a ritual like thing?

Hi Lizard man!

Yes, almost. Each spell has its own components. For an energy ball, I use a softball with a little weight sealed inside and with wine red cloth wrapped around it that is banded at one end, so it has a tail of cloth at it's end. Of course I must hit with it to affect someone.

Other spells don't require something to throw with. For example, if you slow down an enemy, you simply do your spell and point at the target. As long as you do this, it will move at reduced speed (useful when you have warriors at your side, so they can finish him then). Also, a silence spell will mute an enemy wizard, so he can't cast spells anymore.

By the way, you can see a movie of the gameplay if you download this year's trailer. I'm also in there, exactly at 1:00, standing at the right (the one in the black wizard's robe and with the twisted staff).
