Get a new one then. I can advise you the Seagate drives. They are the most reliable.

Take WD when you want fast harddrives
Take Seagate when you want reliable and silent harddrives
Take IBM when you want crappy harddrives
Take Maxtor when you want popular harddrives
Take Samsung when you want cheap harddrives
Take Kalok when you want suicide harddrives (Went out of business, these drives usually starting to make weird noises from day one, passed all tests to die a few days later)

My first IBM is having a lot of errors after 4 yrs, my Maxtor is making odd noises every 5 months after 3 yrs and my WD is still working alright after 1 yr :/

Well.. :P There's the problem.. Don't know what to buy, and I don't have the money neither does actually "we" either... Used a lot of money on the bathroom down here... SO.. It'll be a while till we get anything new on our comp...
