A good suggestion about the raiseing or lowering the node. The cores are already lower than the rest of the map, just for the reason you stated. If someone were to tank camp the core would be doomed quick. I never even thought about the middle node, in that aspect. I will take your suggestion, and play around a bit.
@ Wiggle, Yes, the distance is short, you could actually walk from core to core, in a matter of about 1 minute. This is one oof the reasons why I meant that this may be too small.
I had already planned on defensive turrets. If you look at the map I drew, you will see 2 sets of square blocks. These are walls, that have at least 1 turret, to defend both node 3 and the core node, and the core itself. I am really not sure how this is going to come out, but I have a good feeling about it. Hi!
Better don't make it too small if you really want to put in flying vehicles.
I don't really see a problem with the link setup, because it should be easy to make a passage for flying vehicles, so they can move around nodes 1 and 5 as well instead of having to fly towards node 3, shouldn't it?
Coco.

OOO, not really a standard ONS thing,
BUT:
is it possible to mount two destroyable Team Sentinals at the cores? this would mean that the time you had at the core was shortened due to having to kill sentinals etc and would really require more than just spam-spam-spam... :p
as i say, not standard ONS but would make the gameplay more intense:)

I'm the least tactical guy to give any advice on ONS, or anything FPS related at least.
It looks like you're well on your way, and with plans! Good luck!

Thanks reject, I was going to ask you for help, on makeing a bolder for me. Are you into making static meshes?
I have been out of the editor so long now, that I need help.
If not, than I can always brush up on the 3dmax.
I tried the level out, and yes, it was too small. So I will remake the terrain, and make it a bit bigger. I could walk from one end to the other, in a matter of 1 minute, and to fly across, it really did not make any sence.
I will keep you posted, and make a screenie, when I get something presentable.
But I need a new rock mesh. If anyone can help. Frank

I have, like, used Blender for a couple of hours, but that was just to make a basic rectangle..

I guess you could get away with placing a lot of meshes into each other, then once they're all selected, either add it to a group to make it easier to select for later, or create a new static mesh out of them..
You might knows this:
List of where static meshes are (probably 90 % complete):

Some of the stock ONS maps may have interesting stuff in their mylevel package.

I was useing Maya for awhile, and it is actually good enough for my purposes. I just have to brush up on the way to get a mesh out into the editor.
Thanks for the link. I still use that package editor, "keyword Browser" and it shows you a pic of the object/texture. You can find it in the TCP's homepage, under Downloads. Frank

I tried ou tthe level, and it is really way too small. I am going to make it wider and longer, but keep the "roof" where it is.
It will take me a few more days, before I can get out the level as a try-out. Please bear with me. Frank

OK, The size seems to be fine, but I have another problem now. I spent all last sunday, trying to get my MAYA to work on my computer. This is a program that you can make shapes with, and send them to unreal to use in a map. I have MAYA on my laptop, but it would be extreamly difficult for me to do what I need to do.
So... what I need from someone here? Is to either fix my MAYA on my computer, make me some mountain tops, like the ones in the picture on side #1, or point me in the right direction, on where I can find some good static meshes.
Until I get these "tops" on, I can not continue on with this map. Soooo, I will continue on with the ZZCat map until I get something fixed for this one. Frank

Sorry Frank, I'm afraid I can't help you with any of that.

It's all too closely related to mapping, which I don't have a clue of.

Well, I have tried since 2 weeks, to get a static mesh that looks like the mountain tops in the picture, and I have also tried to get my versoin of MAYA to work, but I can not get either one together. So it looks like this one is going to be a flop. Sorry guys.
I am now going to concentrate on the maps that I have done, and to make them better.
If I get my MAYA to work, or if I find a way to make those tops, I will come back to this one. Frank

What about that map DesertIsle, or other stock maps? No such boulder meshes in their mylevel packages? Some mappers have given permission for their meshes to use, so if you found some canyon map, maybe use that.

I will look into some other maps, and see if they have something that I could use, and then readjust my textures to those SM.
