Well, and I really, really, really didn't. The matches were lost 10-5, 10-2, 10-6 and so on. If one side has the better team, there's no chance for the other team, as expected. :P So the match becomes pretty boring from the start, because the result is clear already.

on the other side, maps take less long
but thats the only good thing i can think of

cm is good, brings bit more challenge to win
obviusly not used in cb settings
but for training it doesn't rly matter

maybe it's possible to mod the cm a bit?
it does seems that it mostly kicks in on 8-2/3/4 till 8-7
(allways that danm 8th xD)
but dunno how it could be mod

The CM is linear, however, due to exactly that fact it cannot kick in in the first couple of rounds, simply because a very much higher skilled team will be able to compensate these "smaller penalties" with the only difference being that slowly more of their team die in a round (on average). Only at later rounds there comes a point where the penalty gets so great that the higher skilled players can then be killed by a single headshot or a lucky shrapnel tossed blindly... Personally I believe that CM was not meant to balance out extreme skill differences anyway - those just CAN'T be balanced short of swapping players!

What you're proposing would require the CM to have the greatest penalty for the first few differences in round wins with degrading effect on additional wins. It's certainly do-able, and it would possibly balance out teams with greater skill difference then, but also do less well for teams closer to each other. On the latter, I can see a "ping pong" effect - though I might be wrong - with that team winning a round whichever was losing the last one or two.

I do believe the linear CM makes the most sense. But no matter which rules are applied or not applied, scores of 10-2 simply prove that the teams were crap. So change THAT! For the training, Taz has surprised me several times with his great skill in judging players and what works, so listen to him and let him make the teams! For public, leave the CM and the pickups on!

if moding the the cm is to hard to get it done nicely
then don't mod it xD,
saves alot of work and as it is now, it's not rly bad
i guess making the handicap greater earlyer in the map
then you end up whit maybe half the hp in round 9
then it's no fun cause you die way to fast

btw i thought taz said he didn't wanna make teams evrytime
and evry1 wanna be in the team of taz, so if no1 talks about the bad teams
no1 will switch, hoping to start fast cause their in the greater team
saying halfway the match that it's teams doesn't work either
it whold only work if some1 pause the game and waits till it's evenout

Well people leaving in the middle of the game, and others making smart ass remarks wasn't really helpful either (the 2 culprits know who are meant, next time I'm not gonna leave though, next time I will exclude smart asses from the training).

The only way I see then, is someone's job will have to be to make the teams. It's going to be learning by doing.

yesterday training, wasn't realy a training
only 6 man when server had pw, and after 1 map 3 people left (1 halfway thx wax)
so after 1 map i left also, removing the pass, cause no1 was showing up anyway
and 1 guy called chaos was pissing me off (reason 2 why i left), by his bs talk (not only mup does it, he is worse (atleast last night he was))

soo.. the great gameplay (no pick ups, cm mode & ress) is really only to be used on training evenings when taz/wolf/carnage are around ? =(
