I think that even when you are on a public you should be nice by asking to join when its a small game like 2v2 or 1v1. I do it, but you cant make people if you are on a non-passworded server. If you really are bothered then go to a passworded server, its as simple as that.
Though I would think that the guy who joins would not be considered as a social-guy to me

I aggree with Maccad. I am there to have fun, when I can. I do not always have the time to join, and when I see Someone I know, I join that server right away. I am like Ramses. I do not really look at the scores, I just want to have fun.

But I see the problem now. I was not aware that I was also doing this. I will be more careful in the future.

BTW, choice number 2, should not be on the spam topics. We do have kids in here, and I would rather keep this under the members.

I don't think in terms of a game being lost etc before it's actually over, so it's strange to me that some people prematurely say GG. It's like telling your team to give up. ^^

Anyway, I find I'm mostly with MaccaD's points. Mostly.

I often see score 10:9 and called bg, sometimes is exactly this one player the reason.

why is the entire game bad then?
it was a GG only not the last part

same as often the 1st few rounds are bad and then people leave because the teams are bad and it ends up in a GG afterall
even if it becomes 6-10 cause of the 1st few rounds

20 rounds takes to long and ofc people will join (it's only good els the server whold be dead)
if you want no1 to join then pw the server
but then you wont get many people to play either

it's how life go's and go whit the floo
there is nothing you can do about it then the 2 reasons i said befor
- pw the server
- get a 2on2 server
sure it's not the most friendly thing that can happen is some1 just joins
but it's better then he joins spec sees it's even teams and then go's to a other server
where people do not whine when such thing happens
(next time he will instandly go to the other server and not to ours atall anymore)

If it was on a public server then you can't really make a fuzz about it, to bad, that stuff just happends on a public server. People play the game to have fun and to chill out a bit, atleast I do, so what gives you the right to deny them that?

I understand your frustration, but if you like playing 2v2 and like even teams, then go find those games on IRC and play them on a passworded server. There are no rules or a moral code that people have to follow on public servers, unless they are given before hand by the server itself (through MOTD or whatever).

Play for fun and don't get upset so often, it is just a game. I only play for fun and don't give a rats ass if I win or loose, I just play. And if someone is playing "lame" or camping or whatever, I don't go play the same way I usually do, but I think of ways to counterattack it, avoid it or just out-smart him, that gives me alot more fun then being frustrated about it. Because 1. thats not good for my health, im getting older after all , and 2. I don't get any better by just doing the same thing over and over again, you have to think of ways to improve and get out of your "comfort-zone".

Anyway, long story short - play for fun and just accept stuff happends on public servers that you don't like or can't control.

those ppl who do that are either idiots which want to annoy or just a stupid noob who cant recognize that its an even 2on2 match which is at 9:9

if he is one of the idiots i would ban him and if he is just a noob i would kick him for the map.
and if you dont have admin rights at all you are just fu**ed up and have to live with it

This topic got a bigger rection then I thought it would and its nice to see that how people feel.

Simple: red have allways one player more, exept the server is full.
Isnt it easier to win the map then?

Yes I always join blue by default but only because I find red easier to see (I'm too lazy to set team colours )

Dont care.. I always find it awkward when theres a 3v3 going on and there are 3 specs around and ppl want to join the game and have to ask a spec to also join. Its like asking your parents permission all the time. If it gets uneven or you lose 9-10 then tough luck, but thats life

It's more like joining a queue surely ? ... everyone would prefer to be served straight away but a queue is the most efficient way of ensuring that everyone gets what they want without any grief ... besides it's rare for a match to be so closely fought that you have to wait any time
