He was going to retire anyways, and imo it was the best way to leave football. It gave football a whole new meaning Just ask yourselves, what would you have done if you were in his position? He did it with the best intentions lol. After what I've heard materazzi wasn't exactly nice to him, I would have done something similar :p

Then.. at the time of the headbutt he said.. go back to your own country and stop disgracing the french.. after being scolded at the entire game..
