This means that your browser (Firefox) doesn't know about Unreal or UT2004, respectively. Usually, a web address starts with http://, which means it is a Hypertext link (HTTP = HyperText Transfer Protocol).ERIC-X wrote:help when i press on the link by tcp cheshire than there is written Firefox weiß nicht, wie diese Adresse geöffnet werden soll, da das Protokoll (ut2004) mit keinem Programm verknüpft ist. what should i do
The Unreal games add further protocol identifiers like unreal:// or ut2004:// for server addresses. When clicking such a link in the browser (like you did with Cheshire's link), the browser is supposed to start the game and connect to the server given in the link address.
For some reason, this doesn't seem to work for you. Is it possible that you haven't Unreal or UT2004 installed on the PC which you were using when clicking the link?
In case the games are installed and it simply doesn't work, you can also right-click the link, choose properties (German: Eigenschaften) and note down the address behind the unreal:// or ut2004:// on a paper. Then start the game and open the noted address from within the game, using the Open IP function (or whatever it is called).
@partydevil: The German text, translated to English means:
Coco.Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (ut2004) isn't associated with a program.
