Hi!

Yes, Wolf, you're right. The green lasers are good in the beginning, but far too weak in the end.

However, the red towers just do 50% of damage to the green aliens, and this always is my problem in the end. In level 47 or 48, I think, there's a heavy wave of green Vectoids, which is extremely hard to defend with just the red towers (and the blues for slowing down, of course).

not bad wolf :p

my taktic was to slow down the vectors and nuke them with 2 class 3 red towers one with lvl 10 the other on lvl 8.
i used 1x range bonus, 2x interrest, 6x power bonus and 1x life bonus.

in lvl 49 i had to sell every tower which were already passed by the evil vectrons to build more blue towers in the end to stop them, pretty close :O

Err that would interest me too! If the scoring system was revealed maybe something could be deducted. For example, I am almost certain that the number of lives you lose and the amount of money you have in the end directly influence the end score - well it would make sense ;-)

Coco and Kobra are both right that slowing enemies down is crucial because you just CAN'T get enough firepower together to stop em outright!

I do think, however, if you have to SELL something you made a mistake! You can find out if you place your towers intelligently in only 2 or 3 rounds! The first tower I buy is ALWAYS the red laser one, and I place it so it kills the first 2 waves on its own without being upgraded or aid of another tower. It should stop the third wave also on its own but that isn't possible on every map! If you have no losses after 3 rounds and only that one tower, you're on the right track :-)

The 2nd tower I buy is always a blue one which is put close to the first red. The 3rd and forth towers are usually blue ones too. In the beginning of the game, upgrading those towers still makes a difference, so I do that before buying additional non-blue towers, but always very slowly and carefully. The optimum is if a wave is just BARELY eradicated by the towers you have, because then you have reached the maximum money/damage ratio.

Here are 2 advanced tips:

1) NEVER spend money after a round! If you know you need an upgrade or a new tower to stop the next wave, click on the tower to upgrade or the tower you wish to buy, but don't place it/upgrade it yet. Click SEND FOR VECTOIDS first, because you still have a few more bucks interest is added to then. Immediately after round start, make your purchase!

2) Once you have rocket towers (red level 3), you cause a little extra damage to the following wave if your timing is good. The large red rockets will acquire a new target during flight if their current target is destroyed and another one is present on the map, regardless if the new target is IN RANGE of the tower it was fired from! Since it is possible to summon the next wave of enemies before all current enemies are destroyed, you can click on "SEND" half a second before the final enemy is destroyed by a rocket, any other rockets that were underway on the same target will turn around 180 degrees and hit the next wave, even if your towers are completely out of range :-P
