I like bombing run. :)

I play it often vs bots because there are no decent servers with that gametype. :(

Well, just give it a try. Select INSTANT ACTION (instead of JOIN in the main menu) and choose INVASION then.

You'll find out that there are several waves of monster attacks that you have to defend. Each wave is stronger than the last one. Once, you finished the last wave, you succeeded the map.

You consider invasion a standard game type?
I think all those things are BS, to me..Unreal was meant for only the following gametypes:

DM
TDM
CTF
Maybe some insta stuff.
TAM(Not really meant for it, but has become part of it.)

All the other stuff, no matter how cool it may seem, is simply not, true to unreal. IMO.

Not in my opinion, unreal used to be and IS a shooting game, onslaught is more like omfg lolol car coming in protect powernode please lol, too tactician to be made for UT imo.

Hi!

Oh my god... what are you discussing about, Ghost and Sentic? Invasion is in the game that is sold in the stores - as well as Onslaught. So they definitely are standard UT2004 gametypes. No discusiion there, this has nothing to do with your personal preferences or opinion about them. It doesn't matter if they were in UT99 or not. UT2007 will bring new standard gametypes as well. That's the way it is.

If you play UT2004 and are in a clan, you should at least know all the basic gametypes and you should have tried them already. Otherwise you'll just show everybody that you don't really know much about the game. You can stick to DM or TAM if you like, no problem, but you should better know what you're talking about.

By the way, blackguarding gametypes that other clan members like to play, isn't really a good idea. Everything that's fun has a right to be in UT, because it's a game. Just pick the ones you like to play and be happy with it, but please don't talk bad about the things that your friends like, ok? To me, this sounds more like a bad excuse for weak skills there.

You are completely misunderstanding me coco, I think ONS is an awesome gametype, it is just what Unreal is basically, IMO
I don't hate ONS, at all. Well invasion I like a lot less, but it IS a good gametype. All I am saying is that all those new gametypes that come and go, that most of them aren't about simple fragging anymore, like Unreal and older UT1 was.
But don't get me wrong, it ARE good gametypes.
