hi guys i finlay figured out how to host a server now im searching for some maps which cheshire used on the TCP INV i need DM-Lostparadise2k4 DM_zeldatemple and DM-Egyptjump i hope you still know where to get them i say thanx for all answers .ERIC.

It's nice to see you abided by your own goals. Keep on with it!

I found EgyptianJumpV2 in our Download Center (just click it). There are even more maps if you click at UT2004 Maps right above the table.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find DM-LostParadise2k4 and DM-ZeldaTemple there. They probably are in one of the map packs (btw., Carnage, the 3spn_tam_v3.0_bonuspack download link doesn't work anymore ).

Another good spot to search for maps are the public redirect servers (for example, a real big public one is http://uz2.gameservers.net/ut2004/ ). Now that you have your own server, you should know about redirection already, don't you? The files there are already UZ2 compressed, so you'll have to uncompress them after downloading. It is also possible that they require additional files (like Textures, StaticMeshes, etc.). You will find them on the redirect server too, but you won't know them before you have installed the map on your server and started it. In case the map won't show up in the maplist of your web admin, you need to check the server logfile (ucc.log, ut2004.log or server.log - whatever you use) and see what missing files are reported there.

As for uncompressing - in case you don't know it already, do the following:

1. Open an MS Dos command prompt
2. Make the UT2004\System dir the current directory
3. Type ucc decompress <mapfile_path_and_filename> (where <mapfile_path_and_filename> is to be replaced by the path and name of the mapfile to decompress, of course).

I case you have problems to uncompress the files, Cheshire might also be able to provide a download link, because he had them on his server.

There's also a chance that the maps you played still reside in your Cache folder. In this case you can try the free UT2004CacheExtractor program that I made to recover maps from the Cache folder. Might be the easiest way to get the maps, together with their associated files.
