MBB had a good explaination of the mover. He missed the size by a little bit, and thank Meledictum, it was corrected. What I meant this morning, was that a volume is not a brush, actually. You do not add it or subtract it like a normal wall or building. When you make your builder brush for the water volume, you then use the builder brush to add a volume. The "ADD VOLUME" button is on the left side tool bar. I will take a screenie and send it to you if you can not find it.

Well jumppads are easy. You can find some static mesh to have a look of it, then you put Navigational Point\Jumppad\UTJumppad and place for landing will be marked by JumpSpot. Then you have to check in properties\object of jumppads how its called (for example JumpSpot3) and then you type that name in jumpad's properties\NavigationalPoint\FOrcedPaths.

Teleporters are easier. You can find them under Navigational Point\Small Navigaiton Point. Place for example 2 of them. In 2nd teleporter's properties\Events\Tag type some name and then type it in Teleporter\URL of first teleporter. To make way back you just type tag of first teleporter in second's URL.

That depends on what type of level it is. If you want shadows cast from one sorce, then use a sun, and then where the shadows are too dark, either put a light in, or do as Meledictum did in his last level, and use another sun, and point it the other direction. If the world is large, i suggest a sun actor.

I never heard about lights creating a "lag" (i guess you mean low FPS), except if you added around 3500+ of them. :P You put sunlight actor only on open maps, with skybox etc.

You must have a skybox first, and a surfaces from where the light will come from - probably a surface that will be your skybox. Select "fake backdrop" in the surface's properties.

1. make some brush beyond your map and add some textures of sky or put skyring
2.put skyzoneinfo inside it. This will be "copy" the viem from there to your map brush's walls. Its like camera. Altitude of SKyZone depends what it will show.
3. Select 4 walls of your map brush and in its properties mark : Fake Backdrop and Unlit (unlit is to avoid effect that you can see decals on yuor skybox, when your shooting to it etc. )
4. Put sunlight, but not into skybox only too yor map brush. Set some light brightness and radius.

I think that's all :).

MBB hit it good enough to get you started. If you are making a ONS map, then it is advisable to make the walls of the skybox one color. If you need help getting a color, write back to me.

to find the skyZoneInfo actor, look in your actor browser, and look under the tab "Info". There you will find "SkyZoneInfo"

Good luck.
