yo. urgent cry for help.

for the last few days, my internet broadband has been taking spasms. it will disconnect and reconnect every half minute or so...however, i think i know the source of the problem:

my step dad's mobile phone...

it was sunday the internet started messing up, the same day that he put some stupid thing on his phone which scrambles the frequency on his calls so no1 can listen in (he is obsessed with stupid novelty gimmicks that theres no real need for - then he'l try and make an excuse for using them...it gives meaning to his sad little life). i am thinking that it is interfering with the signal from the bt asdl wireless router 2000 thingy...

him being the arsehole that he is, he isnt allowing me to turn off his phone to test it...

i pretty much know thats the problem, since it was working when i got in from school (the phone wasnt in the house) and on monday night when he turned his phone off...

it seems as soon as his phone is near this house, the connection gets all erratic.

so the question:

am i right? is it the phone? is the scrambler thing really interfeering with the signal?

p.s. as you can see i a pretty pissed off...my step dad could not be further from someone i can actually relate to. he is a selfish, closed minded old pervert with a sad little life that has gone nowhere, is nowhere, and will go nowhere. the sad thing is, he still thinks it is evryones fault but his...

Unless u are using a wireless network at home i can not imagine a cellphone having such an effect on any router / modem scrambled or not .

yea its a wireless network...and yes it was the phone...

a tech dood came round and made it bypass it or something like that

Something I found about Wi-Fi (wireless 802.11b):

ya that would prob be also why my net wasnt working. also same reason hospitals and other important places dont want wireless crap...
