My thoughts for what they are worth ...
KO rounds would be simpler ?
A league with divisions would be good also but there I think should be a definate "season" ... say each team plays the others in the division once and the division winners move up a division etc. To keep interest I suggest small divisions of say 4 or 5 teams per division. Peeps can lose interest if the season lasts too long; if you have a minimum of one match per week then a season would last a month and the top/botoom teams will be promoted/relegated.
You would need clear rules on what happens if a team doesnt turn up to play; also a clear points system (say 3 maps per match with a point for each map won ?, maybe deduct 2 points if you dont turn up and give the team that turns up a consolation point for making the effort ?)
Initially someone would have to assign each team to a division based on ability ... this might cause some argument if someone thinks they are better than the division they are placed in
. Everyone will have to accept that the start positions will be largely guesswork and that everyone cant start in the top division.

I would probably have qualifying matches to determine who plays who
And if good ones can be promoted anyways, it shouldnt matter that much where ppl start :O
But since we're not that many ppl, we could see if some other ppl would also join..so that we maybe get 2x6 teams or 4x4 or 3x5..whatever works best
Since we're all tcp, I dont see the problem of ppl not showing up..I hope I'm not wrong there :/

i plan to get my website up tonight or tomorow, about my project, and its a .com...i dont need a forum on it for the project yet, so many i could add the forum for use with this season thing?
i say 4 devisions. but we make up snazzy names for them, i dont want no 'premier devision' crap.
like warthog, eagle, dragon, that kinda thing wud be cool for deivsion names.
also, stress that this is open to Anyone who wants to play, wether they are good or bad, and that its a free choice of partner dood.
if there is a big turnout, we cud make this a regular thing...like have 4 of these a year...
