Outlook stores everything within *.pst-files. So just look for *.pst files on your ext. HDD, copy that to your local HDD and open it as described here:

You're telling me your drives will run even faster than they already do? How much (in real application effects)?
yes, a sata drive with NCQ enabled is faster than without. There might be some more professional reviews, but in short, I found this one:

loool exactly what I mentioned: searching forums, installing stuff etc.
of course no problem at all, but Vista and 7 provide an installation without all these steps.

yep, right: W7 won't boost your old system, but if you buy a new one, it should be W7. If not for other reasons, it's because XP doesn't support S-ATA-drives while installing and you will always have to mount a floppy or USB-drive... annoying!
