Outlook stores everything within *.pst-files. So just look for *.pst files on your ext. HDD, copy that to your local HDD and open it as described here:

You're telling me your drives will run even faster than they already do? How much (in real application effects)?
yes, a sata drive with NCQ enabled is faster than without. There might be some more professional reviews, but in short, I found this one:

ok I'm off of this discussion - I'm just happy with my W7 system. It took 1/2 hour, it's stable, quick, good lookin and providing all of the XP and Vista advantages. No probs yet, greetz, heinzi (and UT2k4 IS running YEAH).
btw - I'm not a MS employee ;-)

loool exactly what I mentioned: searching forums, installing stuff etc.
of course no problem at all, but Vista and 7 provide an installation without all these steps.
Wolf: If you install Vista or 7 (or MS-DOS rofl) on "Native IDE Mode", yea, you won't get in trouble, but if you want to use the key ...

of course it's no problem, did it myself, too.
But first you have to HAVE that slipstreamed XP ;-)
So either you take XP, slipstream (or search and download) it and then install or just put in that W7-DVD - what's faster? ;-)
As well, to install Linux is no problem at all - you just have to handle ...

yep, right: W7 won't boost your old system, but if you buy a new one, it should be W7. If not for other reasons, it's because XP doesn't support S-ATA-drives while installing and you will always have to mount a floppy or USB-drive... annoying!
I run W7 for a week now and it's stable, quick and easy ...

Hi, was chatting with Spanky, he said he never seen this thread and feels a bit bad coz you might think he was ignoring you. That was never his intention. He lost the login and PW so he asked me to answer here.

Hi Frank,
once I had a PC with similar problems, it freezed sporadically after years of fine working. It was the CPU having contact probs with its socket. Maybe dust or corrosion. Simple dis- and reassembling the CPU fixed that. Maybe u try this too b4 buying a new MoBo. Just little hope on this ...
